Tara McGuigan spent 15 years as a science teacher in Title I schools, developing engaging, inquiry-based instruction and building community partnerships that connected students to authentic science experiences beyond the classroom. As a GATE-certified educator and former GATE Resource Teacher, she also supported the academic growth of gifted and advanced learners.
For the past 10 years she has served as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, leading initiatives that strengthen teaching and learning across diverse school communities: developing Multi-Tiered System of Supports frameworks, implementing restorative justice practices, and building systems that promote student success, equity, and positive school culture.
